Depart from your country and start a nice journey to Caucasus Region. Arrive at the airport. Meet and greet, transfer to the accommodation.

Transfer to the Zvartnots temple (means “celestial angels”) 7th century wonderful architectural masterpiece. Continue tour to the spiritual and administrative headquarters of the worldwide Armenian Church. Visit the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin (302-303 AD) the oldest state-built church in the world and the seat of the Catholicos. For the lunch you can taste Armenian national Kiufta. Generally, kiufta is a meatball or meatloaf mixed with spices or onions. Afterwards participate in Gata maiking. It’s traditional Armenian dessert generally filled with khoriz – a stuffing made of flour, butter and sugar. Return to the Yerevan. Food Market where we can taste and buy home-made dried fruit and fresh vegetables. Then we visit Ararat Brandy Factory to try the exceptional taste of Armenian brandy. Drive towards Tsitsernakaberd Monument which is designed to memorialize the innocent victims of Armenian genocide. Visit Genocide museum. Enjoy evening near singing fountains in the Republic Square.

Drive to the Gegharkunik region. Lake Sevan is huge mountain lake and situated at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level. Visit Sevanavank 9thc. (Sevan monastery) located in the peninsula which used to be an island before. Taste Armenian trout and crayfish kebab.Passing Sevan-Dilijan tunnel we appear in the fabulous forested resort town of Dilijan.
Continue and visit a small beautiful lake called Lake Parz (clear lake) which is located in the Dilijan National Park at the altitude of 1400 m above sea level. Visit Haghartsin monastery (10-14th cc.) is nestled in a temperate rain-forest on a mountainside. It is one of those spots in Armenia that feels like you are walking through a huge, unreal movie set. Drive to Khor-Virap monastery (4- 17th cc.). Enjoy a beautiful view to the biblical Ararat Mountain. Visit Areni wine factory to taste local wine made from special sorts of vines. Since ancient days Armenia was famous for the wine makers where original traditions were kept until this day.
After tasting Armenian wine in Areni wine factory continue tour to Noravank. Noravank 13thc. (means “New Monastery”) a masterpiece of Armenian architecture which is situated in a narrow gorge and encircled by tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs. For the lunch you can taste Tolma. Delicious “tolma” (often referred to as “dolma) is the queen of the Armenian cuisine. Tolma comes in two versions- spiced meat and rice rolled up in grape leaves (served with yogurt mixed with garlic), and “summer” tolma, the same stuffing wrapped with cabbage leaves, or filled into tomatoes. Sounds yummy, doesn’t it?

Drive to Kotayk province and visit Garni fortress (III-II c BC) the summer residence of the kings and Garni temple (1st c.). Nowadays the ruins of the royal palace and the bathroom with a mosaic work can be found near the temple.
In fact, bread and cheese are the basic elements of any Armenian table- no matter what is served. Lavash is traditional flatbread, very thin and made in toneer (clay oven under the ground).
Northeast of Garni, higher up the gorge of Azat River, there is an outstanding monument of medieval Armenian architecture – Geghard monastery (4-12th cc.) (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Back to Yerevan and participate in making Armenian barbeque. The juicy pork barbecue with an inviting aroma, or khorovats, is the “king” of the Armenian cuisine. Armenian barbecue is mostly served with crispy potatoes, onion rings and Armenian flatbread lavash.

Visit one of the impregnable fortresses of medieval Armenia – Amberd (VII- XIII cc.) with the walls, Vahramashen church (1026), the bathroom and other sections built on the rocky eminence on the slopes of Mt. Aragats at 2,300 meters above sea level. Drive to Lake Kari (Stone Lake) located in the slopes of Mount Aragats. For lunch Khash. Delicious khash is a soup made of cow feet to which garlic, greens and salt are added. It is served with garlic, salt and radish and is eaten with lavash and various greens.
Continue and visit the monastery complexes of Hovhannavank (4-13th cc.) and Saghmosavank (13th c.). The monasteries are five kilometers apart and perch on the edge of the precipitous gorge of the Kasakh river.The most ancient structure in Hovhannavank is a basilica typical of the fifth century.
