Day 1 

Arrival to Armenia

Arrival to Yerevan, transfer from Zvatnots international airport. Check in hotel in Yerevan.

In the evening short walking tour in Yerevan city center. Visit the hearts of Yerevan- Republic square. The square is the great example of Soviet era architecture, built with the project of Alexander Tamanyan.  Famous singing fountains are located in square. Singing fountains are famous for lights effects and the great music. During fountain show sounds the music from famous films, cartoons, the world hit songs, and of course, national music.

Day 2

Yerevan city tour–Khor Virap

Khor Virap monastery: Ayas tour

Breakfast in the hotel, visit Erebuni fortress. Erebuni was founded in 782 B.C. by king Argishti I. The fortress was covered by ground and forgotten till 50th , when somebody was found the stones on Arin Berd hill  territory.

Abovyan street is one of the most beautiful streets in Yerevan. Many historical buildings, souvenir shops are located on Abovyan street, such as the oldest hotel in Yerevan, the cozy gallery and so. Also visit Mirzoyan library, where the old Yerevan courtyard type was kept.

historical Khor-Virap monastery (4- 17thcc) with a beautiful view to the biblical Ararat Mountain, where Noah’s arch cast anchor. Khor-Virap monastery (means «deep dungeon») rests on a top of a little hill. It is where Grigor Lusavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years before adapting Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD. Back to Yerevan.

Day 3

Yerevan–Sevan–Dilijan–Ijevan–Yerevan 

Drive to the Gegharkunik region and visit lake Sevan. Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is also one of the largest fresh-water high-altitude lakes in the world. This huge mountain lake is situated at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level.

Lake Sevan and Sevanavank: Ayas tour

Visit Sevanavank 9thc. (Sevan monastery) located in the peninsula which used to be an island before. Note that the stairway leading to monastery consists of 220 stairs.

Passing Sevan-Dilijan tunnel we appear in the fabulous forested resort town of Dilijan. Dilijan was famous from XVIIIth century, when people from Tbilisi, Yerevan and Baku arrived for recovery. Now visitors also may recover their respiratory system. Visit old city in Dilijan. The old city was designed with the traditional Dilijan architecture style and was build in XX century.

Visit Ijevan city. Ijevan is famous for its wine making traditions. Visit the wine factory, the tour in factiry and wine degustation. Back to Yerevan.

Day 4

Yerevan–Gyumri–Armenian alphabet monument–Yerevan

Marmashen monastery: Ayas tour

Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Shirak region, Gyumri city. Gyumri is one of the most picturesque cities in Armenia. There are a street of masters, old Arbat in the city. In those parts the buildings are built form black toof stone.

Visit the museum of national architecture and urban life. here you can find the collection of the Alexandropol social life characteristics, from the 19th century up to the 1920s. Free time in city.

Visit Marmashen monastery complex, built of X century.

The memorial of Armenian alphabet. The memorial was built in 2005, in memorize of 1600 anniversary of Armenian alphabet creating. Back to Yerevan.

Departure
